Looking for a creative, low-pressure activity these school holidays?

Join us at Dirthouse this January 2026 for a relaxed Kids Bowl Painting Workshop, designed for young makers who love to create.

In this 1 hour workshop, kids will paint their very own handmade ceramic bowl using colourful underglazes. The session is focused on this single project, giving children time to slow down, concentrate, and enjoy the process of painting and self-expression.

Parents or caregivers are welcome to stay and paint alongside their child if they wish, especially for younger children who may feel more comfortable with a little extra support. If parents wish to stay, there is an option to paint your own bowl alongside your child for an additional cost.

Once finished, bowls will be clear glazed and fired in the kiln and ready for collection at a later date. Each child will go home with a one-of-a-kind, functional piece they can be proud of.
